A beginner’s guide to Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story
Do you like cute creatures that live cozy lives filled with magic and hobbies? "Juegos De 2" Then you'll love Yordles—small, fuzzy beings from the League of Legends universe. These adorable spirits are the focus of Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story.
At its heart, Bandle Tale is a cozy crafting game—but don't let the cozy aesthetic trick you. There's a lot to this game. Our beginner's guide will help you navigate Bandle Tale's complexities, and remind you how everything connects in case things get too confusing. Let’s start at the beginning.
Quests and the introduction
The very beginning of Bandle Tale introduces most of the game's features—you’ll learn how to run a food stall, how to craft items, and how the Skill Tree and Quest systems function.
If you’re stuck at any point, always check your Quests. You can do this by pressing Tab and navigating to the Quest area. Here, you can see exactly what you need to do next and if you need anything in particular to do it.
For example, if you need a specific skill unlocked, you can click on the skill required and it’ll take you straight to the Skill Tree. This helps you easily unlock the necessary skill and any prerequisite skills, as well. If a quest is telling you to go somewhere, check the map. There will be a triangle marking the area you need to reach. If a quest simply displays recipes, you’ll need to open your food stall in that area and sell the recipes listed. And if you need to craft anything specific, the Quests log will show you where and how to craft it.
As Bandle Tale gets more complicated, this can save you a ton of time. Expect to check the Quests log regularly throughout the entire game.
While you’ll often have a lot of quests at any one time, pay attention to the ones featured in the top-right corner of the main screen while you’re playing. These are the quests you’ll want to do first in order to make the other quests easier, or even to unlock things you’ll need for other quests. It may seem confusing or overwhelming at times, but trust the direction Bandle Tale steers you in when it comes to quests.
Skills and Emotion Orbs
Once you’ve gotten past the tutorial and into the main loop of Bandle Tale, you’ll be checking out the Skill Trees a lot. There are four different Skill Trees you’ll have to focus on—Knitting, Engineering, Nature, and Magic—and they generally go hand-in-hand with the different areas and their quests in Bandle City.
Collecting Emotion Orbs (the purple spheres in the top-left corner of your screen) is one of the main ways to get Skill Points in Bandle Tale. The key to Emotion Orbs is that you have to do new activities to get them. You can’t do the same thing over and over again. Pretty much everything you do in Bandle Tale will give you Emotion Orbs, so it’s important to explore everything you can. Once you go to sleep, the filled Orbs will convert to Skill Points, and you’ll be able to fill them again the next day.
Considering you will need to unlock nearly every skill at some point in the game, "Juegos De 20" Skill Points are highly coveted. You can nab Skill Points by doing a variety of things, including fishing, crafting new items, eating new foods, holding festivals, and even occasionally by selling things as a vendor.
If you find yourself needing a lot of Skill Points at once, first check out the Lectures you can give at Bandle University. These will give you Skill Points as well as cosmetics for your Yordle and home. You can also throw a party! Yordles love parties, and successful parties bring in a lot of Skill Points. Finally, Food stalls can be surprisingly lucrative, so don’t shy away from serving the various areas around Bandle City.
Upgrading your Yordle's home
Your Yordle’s home in Bandle Tale is a pretty important place. Not only is it where you go to sleep, it’s also where the majority of crafting and cooking takes place. Your magical little home can move with you, going wherever you go as you traipse through the areas around Bandle City.
And it's a good thing, because moving around and exploring Bandle Tale's world is important. As you traverse Bandle City, you'll find Auras. These spots on the ground give off magical qualities, such as Movement or Heat, which are needed to craft many recipes even early on in the game. If you don’t have the adequate magic or resources to power your crafting equipment, then you’ll rely on these Auras. Certain areas also have placeable Auras, which you can see by going to build on the outside areas of your home.
Throughout the game, you’ll upgrade your home to make it bigger and enable it to hold more crafting equipment. You can also get Pocket areas—such as a Pocket Workshop or a Pocket Greenhouse—which serve as additional room for you to work with. Using these areas can make crafting easier and much more organized, so don’t ignore them, especially if you’re struggling to keep everything straight.
Carpets
There are four areas, or Carpets, on the outside of your home that you’ll use quite often: Workbench, Food Stall, Vendor, and Festival. These can be unrolled and rolled back up by using the tassels on the outside of your home.
Workbench Carpet
The Workbench Carpet is one of the first ones you’ll use in Bandle Tale. This area can hold everything from a furnace to a loom—anything you use for crafting. It’s the first tassel on the left side of your home.
Festival Carpet
The Festival Carpet is where you’ll decorate for and throw all your Yordle parties—and you’ll throw many parties over the course of Bandle Tale.
Decorating for parties involves three stats: Fire, Music, and Sights. Choose what kind of party you’re throwing and you'll see what stats are required. Then you can fill the Carpet with decor that provides those stats and (hopefully) throw a successful party.
Parties can be tricky, though. Most of the time you need to invite very specific people. You’ll also need to ensure the area where you're hosting the party meets the required happiness and friendliness levels. You can raise those stats by opening up your food stall or selling things as a vendor.
You also need to pick the right music and lighting for each party, but that's just a matter of reading the descriptions and making the appropriate choice. For example, if you’re throwing a party to make new friends? You should choose the music that's described as perfect for meeting new people. The same goes for the lighting.
Food Stall Carpet
If you want to make money and raise each area’s happiness and friendliness levels, unroll your Food Stall Carpet. This is the only tassel located on the right side of your home—though if you’re done and trying to roll it back up, you’ll find the tassel by the Order stand on the far-left side.
Running the Food Stall isn’t too difficult. First, use the Order stand to choose what recipes to sell. Once you’ve made sure all your cooking machines have what they need, open your stand and fill orders as they come. Make sure you cook them in time, but most Yordles are pretty patient and give you plenty of leeway to get what they want.
You can run a Food Stall as long as the people in the area are hungry enough. For most everything, you’ll need the nearby Yordles to have four Hunger points (which represent how many orders they’ll have) before you open a food stall. If the Yordles aren't hungry but you need to run a Food Stand, you’ll need to pass time or sell specific items. Look for items sporting a Hunger symbol, which include a number showing how much Hunger will be added.
Vendor Carpet
At the very back left side of your Yordle's home, you’ll find the Vendor Carpet. This is where you’ll sell extra items you've crafted—or rare items you've found. The Vendor Carpet can be a great way to bring in passive income while you’re out exploring, and it can also help you raise the stats around each area of Bandle City.
Making money in Bandle Tale isn’t something you’re forced to do, but it can help when things get hectic. Many of the supplies you’ll need to craft more complex items can be bought, which can save you time and even a headache as you try to figure out exactly what you need and how to craft it.
That covers Bandle Tale's basics, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Enjoy your time decorating your home, making new friends, and exploring everything that Bandle City has to offer. You can find Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story on the Epic Games Store.
